New roofing material (cut hay and wildflowers from the orchard) was layed on the roof of the wood workshop structure. Nuovo materiale (il fieno ed i fiori del frutteto) era messo sul tetto del capanno della falegnameria.

I had to finish the exterior plaster work started with the group of students. This also included reworking any cracks that formed with various techniques based on their size. Ho avuto finire l'intonaco all'esterno che i ragazzi avevano cominciato. Facendo questo significava ripassando sulle crepi utilizzando varie tecniche seconda le loro misure.

There was a group of recent high school graduates that were at Panta Rei for a few days and one of the activities we involved them in was the application of the finish coat of external earth plaster on the west side of the stair connector building which was constructed last year. It was great to watch them really get into working with the earth plaster and exploring use of their hands versus tools. C'erano alcuni ragazzi a Panta Rei per qualche giorno e ci hanno aiutato ad applicare l'ultima strata d'intonaco di terra all'esterno del corpo di collegamento che era costruito l'anno scorso. Mi e' piacuto vederli divertirsi mentre che lavoravano con la terra, utilizzando le loro mani o gli atrezzi.

Fireworks...Fuochi d'artificio

The third week of July in Passignano sul Trasimeno is filled with special events for local celebrations and festivities. I walked down to town to see the "burning of the castle" one night, which included a lovely display of fireworks. La terza settimana di luglio a Passignano sul Trasimeno e' piena dei eventi per il loro palio delle barche. Sono andata nel centro una notte per vedere "l'incendio", che era un bellissimo spettacolo dei fuochi d'artificio.

Here I am mixing lime with earth plaster, which is then used to repair cracks in the external walls where a similar plaster mixture was utilized. Qui sto facendo un intonaco con calce, che dopo lo uso per riparare le crepi nei muri esterni dove un intonaco simile era utilizzato.
